Lake Auto Parts to sponsor street stock division in 2019
MALTA, NY – Albany-Saratoga Speedway has added another title sponsor for the 2019 season.
Lake Auto Parts, located in Ballston Lake, NY, will join the list of marketing partners as the new title sponsor of the street stock division.
According to track promoter Lyle DeVore, all of the sponsorship money will go into the street stock purse for the 2019 season.
Lake Auto Parts offers a wide variety of used car and truck parts, and also buys used and junk cars and trucks. In addition, Lake Auto Parts is also a licensed auto dismantler.
In the past, Lake Auto Parts has donated cars and space at its facility for local fire companies to practice “rollover drills” and the proper utilization of the Jaws of Life.
Phil Heitmann, the owner of Lake Auto Parts, has never raced a car, but that doesn’t diminish his love for dirt track racing.
“I love to go to the races,” he said. “I have a lot of friends who race and this is a nice way for me to make a contribution to racing.”
In 2018, Randy Miller dominated the division at Albany-Saratoga Speedway. After taking the checkered flag in the first five races of the season, he ended the year with eight wins and the track championship.
But along the way, he had some memorable battles with another veteran campaigner, Al Relyea. Their rivalry came to a head on July 13, when both were disqualified for staging a personal demolition derby on the backstretch after they were involved in a wreck during the feature.
Jimmy Duncan finished the season strong, picking up four wins, including back-to-back victories on July 13 and July 20.
Lake Auto Parts joins Haun Welding Supply on the list of marketing partners for the 2019 season at Albany-Saratoga Speedway. Haun Welding Supply will be the title sponsor of the limited sportsman division.
