Buff, Jeseo win Hoosier Tire championships
MALTA – Andrew Buff and Chad Jeseo, who displayed their talents every Friday night at Albany-Saratoga Speedway, have won DIRTcar’s Hoosier Tire Weekly Championships for 2021.
Buff earned his first championship in the Sportsman division, while Jeseo dominated the Pro Stock division. Both will receive $1,000 bonuses from DIRTcar.
The Hoosier Tire Weekly Championships are determined by a driver’s best 16 finishes, both at his home track and on the road, at other DIRTcar-sanctioned events, as well as DIRTcar Series races.
Buff began his string of success early in 2021, picking up his first win of the year at Lake View Speedway in South Carolina on Jan. 30. He also posted wins at Albany-Saratoga, Glen Ridge Motorsports Park and Fulton Speedway during the regular season. One of his two wins at Albany-Saratoga came in the 50-lap DIRTcar Series race on Sept. 10.
When the final points were tabulated, Buff had a six-point margin of victory over Zach Sobotka and Cameron Tuttle, who tied for second.
Jeseo had a memorable season in 2021, winning track championships at both Albany-Saratoga and Lebanon Valley Speedways, and he also won the Pro Stock race during Super DIRT Week at Oswego Speedway.
Seven of his DIRTcar-sanctioned wins came at Albany-Saratoga. He finished the year with a 50-point lead over Albany-Saratoga and Lebanon Valley rival Jason Meltz in the final Hoosier Tire Weekly Championship standings.
Jeseo also won the Hoosier Tire Weekly Pro Stock Championship in 2012.
